公司每三個月會辦個聚會，向大家報告過去的成績與未來動向．最後一段是頒獎時間，平時大家提名那些你認為值得拿到這個奬的同事．那天銀幕上只出現下面這段字： 

"She is a consistent and reliable member of the Amex team. She proactively finds solutions to potential problems in supporting what is a unique and sometimes complex client to service. She is always happy to accommodate the client’s requirement, which are often fiddly and don’t come with a lot of notice. The Amex account would not run as smoothly without her." 

看到"she"，"Amex"，大概知道它在描述我們這組幾個女孩子．沒人猜出來，我猜是那位DBA，因過去她為這組幫了很多忙．主持人按個鍵，我的名字就呈現在大家面前．快速地走到前面跟主持人握個手領那份奬金．回到樓上的辦公室，同事的恭喜聲不斷．回到辦公槕打開信封，裏面是一張某百貨公司的$50購物卡任我花． 

被提名並認可的感覺真好，它能提高你的工作士氣．覺得你之前所付出的一切是值得的，而原有的牢騷也變得不值一提．有時覺得公司真的很狡詐，利用這種活動來收買員工的心．但若沒有這樣的活動，我們員工又會到處放公司的壞話，呵呵．．．只希望這樣的工作士氣能維持久一點．
